This tight pair of galaxies in Coma Berenices is made up of the edge-on NGC 4302 on the left and a more face-on NGC 4298 on the right. The are estimated at 60 million light years distance. NGC 4302 is 5.2x1 arc minute while the other is 3.2 x 2 arc minutes.

Camera: SBIG ST-8XME / CFW-8
Guiding: ST-8XME integral guiding chip controlled by Maxim CCD
Exposure: LRGB (color 2x2 bin): Luminance: 10x10 min, R:5x8 min, G:5x8 min, B:10x9 min for a total of 4.5 hrs.
Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing with Photoshop.
